My Fitness Programs

“The alarm clock hates me,” She thinks to herself.

(Opps….I was going to wake up early and exercise and read my bible!)

Reluctantly, she rises from her warm cacoon of covers, throws her hair in a messy bun and chugs down a cup of coffee. Her tiny humans cannot find that ONE pair of shoes that always goes missing. She reheats the coffee. She tells the tiny little humans to brush their teeth for the 5th time because somehow they always forget. She reheats coffe, again. Then, she hurriedly throws together a somewhat healthy lunch that they will actually eat. Finally, they are out the door and off to change the world.

The house is a wreck and she wonders when she will have time to finish the laundry pile that is looking like a gruesome nightmare a top of her couch. The bathroom toilets needs to be cleaned again because….boys. Legos are everywhere and the bills need to be paid. Coupons need to be cut.

I don’t know about you but our days are busy. I see the kids off to school and then when they get home we have a few hours to hang out and then it’s off to basketball practice and church events.

I was STUCK in this mode where I was just surviving my life but I wanted MORE!!!! I want to thrive!!!

As women, we give so much to our families BUT if we do this without taking care of ourselves, we are not at our full potential.

It is exactly what the flight attendant tells us before takeoff… “Put the oxygen mask on yourself because you put it on the person next to you.!”

We do not have to stay STUCK in survival mode, desperate to breathe.


I don’t know about you but I have found that when I am not eating right and exercising….. I get a little crazy! OK!!! A LOT CRAZY!!!!

Going to a gym is great but at this season in my life I hate to leave my kids when they have been at school all day. I love being able to include them in my fitness program!

Also, I work harder steaming my home fitness videos (with my own personal trainer) than I do in two hours at the gym! I gain time with my family!
